Pinakbet Philippine Dish 10

Shrimp paste which is locally known as Bagoong alamang is the magical ingredient used in cooking this Philippine dish Pinakbet. I don’t think this Philippine dish could be cooked without this ingredient. It’ll be no taste if this ingredient is not added to this Philippine dish. There’ll be no substitute for this. If you substitute anything other than this, I’ll be not as good as the native Philippine dish Pinakbet that our ancestors used to cook. This one is the most important ingredient in cooking this Philippine dish because this one gives the Pinakbet flavour to it.
